I recently purchased my first flat screen TV and though the choice was difficult I decided on a plasma TV rather than an LCD television. The biggest difference to me was the picture quality. Its true that plasma shows glare off windows however in a room with few windows it made sense for me to go with it.
Since my room is not conducive to a large screen television and mounting it was not an option I decided to purchase a plasma TV stand to compliment my new designer television. Im so glad I did because it completely changed the whole look of my entertainment room. Plasma TV Stands are a necessity if you buy a plasma TV bigger than 35 inches which most people do.
Its not hard to justify that extra money if it means giving my TV a nice piece of equipment to sit on and also store all my media as well. Its just near impossible to buy a plasma television without buying a plasma TV stand.
