No one would want their nice new flat screen TV to go crashing to the floor just because they put it on a TV stand that was too small or not strong enough to hold the weight. That would be a hit to the wallet to replace especially when it could have all been very easily avoided to start with. The best thing about a flat screen TV stand is that it is designed to handle the largest of televisions. You will want to coordinate your television stand with the TV itself.
However, the final purchase is all up to you. As long as you consider the right factors you will be fine though. Even if the price tag is a few dollars more than you would like to pay, it would be much better to pay that few dollars now than to be paying to replace the LCD television and the TV stand again a few weeks from now. The difference in amount of money you would be out either way should be obvious.
